I didn't know this thread existed. There is a lot I could comment on...but I'll just say one or two things.
I would just like to make it know that you can believe very little of what the news media reports on his/our background. If anyone has been involved in a situation where the media was writing articles about your life...then you'll know how inaccurate most of it is. They'll take any kind of source they can find, regardless of how credible they are, and print it. There are articles saying my parents were separated (orange county register), which the writer got from an uncertified, incorrect, public record. There were stories saying that Adam converted to Islam when he was 14 (Los Angeles Times), he was still playing baseball for a recreational league when he was 14 for Christ sake. There were people saying that he was a spoiled Orange County brat (Yoshi), but the fact of the matter is, we never lived in Orange County when he (and I) were growing up, he moved there when he was 17. Some stories are more accurate than others, but the majority is complete crap with hints of truth buried deep within the article to keep it from being libel.
It may seem like I'm defending Adam, however I am not. He's an idiot, and I really hope he goes down in some way or another. I'd like to say he should be caught and brought back to the US for a trial...however, that would mean years or trials, appeals, and so on, all the while having the spotlight on my family. I'm sick of that, and it's terrible the amount of time my family (especially my parents) spend on thinking/talking/dealing with the situation. My parents always gave all of us the opportunity to make our own choices in life, as they are not always going to be there in our lives, so that's what we have done. I, and my sisters, make our own choices in life, and we're all productive members of society. My brother made his own choices, and unfortunately he chose to take a path that is illogical, convoluted, and tragic.
Anyway, I could keep blathering, but I'll just stop talking now for fear that I'll always say too much. I posted videos on YouTube, and Inside Edition (the worst of the worst) found them and did a story about them...so I'm always a little weary saying anything about my brother for fear that some outlet will find it and write about it.
