"Hmmm, looks like that guy Mike is looking pretty good on leaving on time to go hang with his friends on this beautiful Friday evening...I think I'll send over a closed captioning and digital delivery job (shitwork) for him to do tonight that will tie him up for a couple hours, even though I could easily have him do it on Monday morning to have it air on Tuesday. OH WAIT! I've had all the stuff ready to do this since noon today. Wow, I guess I should schedule this job at a reasonable hour so tha noone has to stay late unncessarily. Oh well, sucks to be him."
Don't feel so bad for us clock-punchers, as I end up making overtime nearly every paycheck. And technically, I don't "punch" a clock, I just write my hours down and give them to accounting.
