Using an XBL Subscritpion Card for 360 on the original Xbox
Alright, quick question. Can I buy an Xbox 360 subscription card and use it to make a new XBL account on my orginal Xbox? I used google and couldnt really find a straight answer, just people saying contradicting things on other forums. I trust someone here would know.
I had to sell my orginal Xbox about a year ago while having some money issues, and yesterday my g/f bought me a used one. The previous owner had XBL so all the software was already installed. We tried to just make a new account with a CC but it seems you HAVE to have one of those stupid sub. cards to sign up, which is annoying. We're going to go grab one tonight after she gets off work, but the only place that will be open is Wal-Mart and they only have Xbox 360 cards...
Just the idea that a place could be "sold out" of Xbox Live accounts is ridiculous. Oh, and if anyone here has an extra 2-month free trial code and wanted to give it to me, I could always use that too ;)
EDIT: Okay, I talked to an Xbox Customer Service Rep and apparently I can't use an Xbox 360 subscription code. Now I'm trying to find a game that maybe has one of the free trial codes. This is really annoying...
