Well him comming out now when he's no longer relevant or making money as a boy bander makes this a publicity ploy. He stands to lose nothing and gain free publicity from this move.

When Ellen came out she was at the top of her career and shocked a nation. She served "the cause." If his comming out was risky, I'd applaud him, but really, ho hum, so some has-been no one has thought about in years is out. Bravo.

But, I'm glad he's out, I hope his life goes well from here on out. I hope he invested is boy band cash wisely and will toss a few dollars to the HRC and Lamda Legal.

Of course it's a publicity ploy. Ellen's thing was a publicity ploy too, as was Rosie's. Still, it must suck to remain closeted because there's millions of dollars on the line, you've got handlers pressuring you to not say anything about it, and it would affect the careers of your band members as well. Considering how vicious the press can be about this sort of thing, I can't imagine it'd be easy to keep under wraps without making significant sacrifices.

And yes buttcheeks, Ricky Martin enjoys "the golden shower."

I find it somewhat disturbing that Rich is even aware of "news" like this...
