Oh, I was saying that it shouldn't be a surprise that the shooter is (might be) Muslim. Not a not-surprise that FOX news is reporting that.Quote:

Really wish they'd hurry up with that last part so once I retire I can visit just before they bomb it all again.
In Israel's defense (and even though I'm jewish, know that I'm not a big supporter of Israel), Lebanon and other countries in the region should really treat terrorist groups like terrorists and not let this shit get so out-of-control. If Lebanon had been trying to stop Hezbollah and crack down on terrorism, Israel would look like real assholes right now.
Israel does some fucked up shit sometimes, but no one ever wants to be the fucking good guy to put that in perspective. If there were a Palestinian Martin Luther King we wouldn't be having the mess we have there now. But instead they have leaders that support terrorism or behave like greedy warlords, or behave otherwise unsymapthetically. If you want to damage Israel, do it it by making them look bad.
you have the true account? there are some biblial scholars that would like to talk to you.
In so far as the biblical accounts we have of the events, jesus was tried on charges of blasphemy, was turned over to the romans, and was crucified for claiming to be "king". thats the best we have from the only recorded account of the event. But the fact that the proximate players in the event were the jews and romans of the time does not confer any specific culpability to them because it was known that jesus was going to die by human hands, the point that mel gibson was making, and the basic point the catholic church has focused on for quite a long time is that the death of jesus was the fault of all of us, including his most fervent believers, he even made sure that he himself was the one "crucifying " jesus in the movie, because the sins that required jesus' death were his as well.
its not damage control, its understanding the point of the fucking movie, most people did. If we recall there was cries that the movie was going to cause all kinds of violence becuase obviously christians havent changed since the middle ages, and the passion, which we recited every single easter in church, was going to lead to all kinds of sectarian violence against jews. correct me if im wrong, but there wasnt a single case of that linked to the movie, and in fact it lead some christians to reconsider their behaviors. now, its obvious that some, hell most people who say the movie got the point of it, a few didnt, you are evidently one of them.
but, to recap, the only facts that we have on the scene are that yes, the jews turned jesus over to the romans to have him killed, and the romans actually did the killing, and that neither of those things actulaly matter because the entiere point of the story is that he died for all people's sins equally.
end of thread hijack unless you would like to misrepresent someone else.
