A place where there's no food or water unless you've got a pocket full of $10s to waste on fast food that normally would've cost you 50 cents? Ugly, nerdy men everywhere with a random booth babe visible in the distance getting swarmed by horny losers? If so, E3 is right for you!
I had way more fun while I was there doing everything else that didn't involve E3. I didn't even go on the last day, I just slept in. The experience is fantastic, though the actual show is not. The pre-show conferences were awesome, other than Sony boring everyone to sleep. Microsoft keeps things very lively and tries to mimic a party atmosphere, and Nintendo showing off Zelda: Twilight Princess for the first time and everyone reacting to it was unreal.
And I'm glad I didn't even think about attending these last two years, because they sounded fucking awful. I don't know how any of those people kept their professionalism in check and didn't let out a loud LOL when they announced the PS3.
