hows craigs list work exactly? I just click reply, and emial the guy?
My Marshall will kick any 60's budget amp to the curb (especially when used w/my Hello Kitty Squier). But hey, what would a college boy know...
I may have just scored a Competition Red mustang w/matching head for $850 w/case. The finish is really fucked up but I should be able to have that fixed and still have it total less than a grand. Pics soon...
I picked up my strat yesterday, and its a fucking beast. Its as good as strats get. The blocked tremelo really adds some bite, to the extent that i can get tele tones out of it. Its the first really good guitar I've owned and it may be the last (Though my Gear Aquisition Syndrome probably has other ideas). I'm thinking about getting the guy to build me a bass.
I never even went to college and I like Marshalls alot. HOW DID IT HAPPEN
there isn't a lot wrong with marshall per se. But the name is over rated, and everyone knows it. The dumbest of the dumb know it. So when you go to buy used, you're probably going to pay more than you should (though the market does fluctuate between the big name brands. One year you'll pay more for fenders, the next more for Orange amps, etc)
But when it comes to small gretch/gibson/national/valco/supro/etc amps, ebay is normally the only place that charges a ton for those amps (and guitar shops, sometimes, if they know what their stuff is worth). BUT you can still find them cheep at yard sales, thrift stores, and pawn shops. Which is great because they make really good recording amps.
