McKlusky fucking rules, Lightsaber Cocksucking Blues has to be the greatest song title ever. That Future of the Left record is pretty damn good, very heavy on the hooks, but the singer sounds oddly like Zack de la Rocha, which I'm not too keen on.

Josh as I recall you had a slick synth pedal for your bass and it made some great sounds.
That Destroyer pedal sounds sick.
Seems like a pretty good value, too.
But I don't have an amp to run it through, so it'd be pretty useless for me right now.
Curses was easily my favorite album last year, and actually lives up to any hype a post-McKlusky project would get.
And yes, the bass is incredible on it.
I never use a pedal.
I'm serious.
Amp heads can do distortion just fine.
Not for nothing but I don't think you actually know what you're talking about here.
I just never got into the habit of using a pedal. I use what I have.
He is generalizing a bit, but that is a good attitude to have. You shouldn't go into playing guitar or bass just determined to use a pedal for your distortion, imo. Considering a good head can cost between 500-3000, its kind of a good idea to buy something that can make you happy on its own. Otherwise you're wasting money when you shell out the big bucks just to leave it on clean and put pedals in front of it, imo.
But that is just my opinion. I do know people that believe just the opposite. They will buy a high gain amp just to leave it clean and put a DS-1 in front of it.
