It's just the filter caps that need to be replaced. Definitely shouldn't be every single one in the amp. For more info you'll have to find someone who really knows what they're talking about and hasn't just talked to people who know what they're talking about...as for the old amp I'll shoot you a PM when I'm at my parent's house next and feel like digging it out. It's actually a 'Coral' brand, head and 3x10 cab with proprietary connection so you couldn't use it with another amp without mods. Sucks that way

Do those things have reverb and trem? For my next amp I want a scummy 10-15 watter with reverb and trem, probably ampeg though

Oh I'm not arguing anybody's case here. He seems to be saying that he doesn't want to because it would cost an arm and a leg and maybe some of those caps are hard to find? And you say definitely do it because it's better for the health of the amp. I am saying that if I bought an amp that didn't work how I wanted it to and when I opened it up it looked like that inside, I'd sell it. Or use it for a boat anchor or something. Maybe the 1485 is different and maybe that pic I posted is really shitty but it doesn't look there's even terminals in there. It looks like somebody grabbed a fistful of caps and resistors and threw it all in there and then walked away thinking "Fuck, I hope that works".

At the moment it's not. Dan was the guy who stepped up and said he wanted it. Which is cool. But he also said this the day after he bought a JCM 800 so he's strapped. If you know anybody that wants to do that deal in a more immediate time frame I'd still be into it.

Yeah, it is. I still can't find ANY information about the amp except for that. I would love a manufacture date.

I think it was that JCM that kept blowing up the skychurch. Sounded good, though. If I wasn't shit broke I would totally buy that thing, I'm really curious about the ceriatones and have been considering a smaller tube amp to go with this old lyle I'm getting.

Danelectro manufactured alot of the gear that ended up at Monkey's. Maybe try looking through as much Danelectro shit as you can find and see if anything looks real similar.

BTW, those new pickups of mine are solid gold. I can't see how they won't graduate up to the Gibson somewhere in the nearish future.
