There are no barrels or materials for sale that early on.
I had an old save, anyway, so now I'm fine.
The only thing I'm finding annoying in here is how you find most of the weapon recepies in speaking to certain NPCs at certain times with no warning.
Otherwise, this game is a hoot.
Can't you still use the hammer at that point? I'm going to have to try that on my next game.
Also, i think it's only a few special weapons recipes that you get that way. Master Bron gives you most of them. Unless one quest is drastically different from the other.
Yeah, everytime a story event happens, just go back to Bron and make every weapon he has available, do another event, and another set of weapons open up.
Something to note, you can find your own recipes as well: I have some of that elemental material so I can make new recipes simply by trying to make like the iron saber and adding the elemental stuff for the aqua sword. This works for many of the weapons where I am getting gaps, like I have technique 1,3, etc. So 2 is often an elemental version of 1.
I'm like 6 hours in and just crawling around the dungeon. The only place I got stuck was the freaking making 10 iron sabers -- I used up all my materials making other weapons so I had to crawl for hours to scavenge enough materials to make the 10. Doh.
Playing this game is just fun for taking a break from other stuff. It's the most user friendly RPG I've played in a long time and looks pretty good on the TV with the GBA player.

I never thought so, I actually liked the more squishy feel of the lites buttons for any game really. Different tastes I guess is what it boils down to.Quote:

Wait what exactly is the elemental stuff I never really delved into any of that.
Some techniques use those mineral ore things you get from the anti-gravity, evil weapons that attack you randomly in the dungeon. They're rare, but the weapons you make with them are awesome.
And, yeah, some techniques do come from NPCs. Another fun way to get them is to break the bosses weapons instead of beating the fark out of them.
That's pretty cool I didn't even think of that, maybe this calls for a re-play.
