TEH INSIDE CONNECTION!
Is there a Pratty-caliber cute girl character in the second? Just curious. I already bought it, but I need to know how soon I should start it.
(I wish there was a Pratty statue I could buy.)
Sure enough, I just finished the first game is there any more story after I beat Parista? I can just continue down the dungeon and collect more techniques, that's it right? So I picked up SN2 tonight, woohoo!
The animal child is really cute, though i think it's supposed to be a boy. He looks like a girl, but his voice is masculine. They argue over it near the beginning too. I had this great voice imagined for a boy/girl confusion character. It was kind of like a Servbot's voice, but more squeaky. And then... he spoke during battle. And i was sad.
So . . . this game looks pretty decent. Anyone care to review it?
Forgot about the 2nd one. Gonna pick it up with FFXII tomorrow.

The first- Limited, but really great. It's a dungeon crawler with great characters and a few different locations for variety. Nice but extremely limited weapon creation. It's over pretty quickly, though it doesn't go on for more than a minute longer than it needs to. If you really want to continue, you can explore farther down in the dungeon, with NEW WEAPONS and NEW SUPER TOUGH BOSSES. The encounter rate is high, the battles are over quickly and are usually fun. The item used to lower encounters is easy to come by and will not punish you by keeping you under-leveled.
The second- same but more locations (maybe) and takes place outside. Weapon creation seems deeper this time. That's all i know.
Hm, this is looking unlikely. Well, they were fun while they lasted!
I've been focusing on this during my breaks the last couple days and I'm almost done. Goddamn the encounter rate is brutal at times. I swear there have been occasions where I got tossed into a battle less than one second after getting out of one -- no exagerration.
But I love this game anyway. Why? Because of the cute characters. I realized that's all I really want in a game. I'll put up with crappy everything else (not that this game in particular is crappy overall), as long as I'm given an adorable girl with snappy lines. My favorite part so far was when Sugar thought, so earnestly, "(I love you so much, Master Pratty.)", at the end of one of their "dates". :)
