If it makes you feel any better if you put him up against someone who is primarily a striker like UFC heavyweight champ Tim Sylvia and it would be a bloodbath. Might take Tyson a minute to get inside (Sylvia is like 6'8") but once he did it would be nap time.
For anyone getting the next UFC PPV, a guy that I train with, Eric 'Red' Shafer is going to be fighting Rob Macdonald (from the ulimate fighter).
More info here.
eek *edit* that pic was huge.
Style to spare!
Now back to UFC vs Boxing.
I give Boxing maybe a year, or at the most two, before you start seeing large scale defections to UFC. They pay in UFC is getting much much better and the rates are going through the roof. These guys are going to want some of that money, it's only a matter of time until a honest to goodness big name is moved over.
I hope UFC tells Don King to stay the fuck out.
I just watched Crokop (sp) fight a few weeks back. He lost to some chubby guy whom I can't remember his name at this time. He looks very old now, he's not a nimble as he used to be and now he absorbs way too many punches, I give him a year tops and he's out.

They still don't pay anyone but their top fighters dick. You'd be more likely to see boxers show up in K-1 or Pride because MMA and kickboxing are much more popular in Japan. They make alot more money and can afford to pay their fighters better. We'll see though. I imagine eventually you might be right but I think it will take more than a year or two for the sport to grow enough that the UFC can pay fighters anywhere near what they would make boxing.
Looking at them on paper and judging by the fights I've seen from the both of them, I would say that Shafer is going to submit the guy.Quote:

Mark Hunt? Hunt is trouble for Cro Cop because he's much bigger and stronger and he can't be knocked out. Cro Cop did kind of look like shit in that fight but he was very sharp in his last two (although to be fair he was fighting the much smaller Minowa and Yoshida who really isn't a threat to any of Pride's top heavyweights). I figure he'll fuck up Wanderlei in Pride's Open Weight Grand Prix and I wouldn't consider his career anywhere near over yet. He's still one of the three or four top heavyweights in MMA.Quote:

I like Cro Cop, I just see a difference between him when he came out and now.
He's Samoan. I doubt he could lose much weight if he tried. He also has a head made of granite. He didn't even flinch when he was eating Cro Cop's left kick.
