Assassin's Creed coming to the 360 (official now)

The article, titled, "Killing an Exclusive" doesn't detail anything about the multiplatform plans for Assassin's, so until official PR hits, there's a small army of other questions to ponder. Will one version of the game have exclusive features? Will all three versions ship at the same time? Perhaps the most interesting questions of all are ones that start with "why." Why did Ubisoft announce Assassin's on 360 now? It doesn't help Sony at all to hold the announcement back until Sept. and let it slip before TGS or X06? Why did the marketing deal for this game work the way it did? Was it all to simply generate buzz and have people talking about Assassin's Creed without a whole lot of media being available for the game? We want to know. The game of cat and mouse is over, but the story of Assassin's Creed certainly isn't.

Everyone knew it was going to happen it was just a matter of it becoming official.

Good to have it (almost) official.

It being official is nice though... that makes 1/3 of why I'd want a PS3 gone (the other 2/3 are VF5 and DMC4).

according to the most rececent game informer, mercs2 has slipped from exclusivity as well. 360 is just getting better and better.

Mercenaries 2 was never PS3 exclusive either. Sony bought the rights to announce them at E3 not to ever have them exclusivesly.

Yay, PC version. Console gaming loses this gen.

yeah, WE all knew that, but you remember how it went so far as to have the mercs 2 guys remove their schedualed platforms removed from their website during e3 so that people wouldnt see that it was coming to pc and 360, it actually in our thread where it gets taken down, so while it was never outright said, every effort was made to have it be explicitly implied.

More like the PS3 is getting worse and worse... less and less reasons to get that system instead of the $200 cheaper system that'll have the games be cheaper as well.

You can cross off VF5 in 2007.

(btw I said this months ago re: Assassin's Creed and VF5, they'll be hitting the 360.)
