I've said it many times before; with the combination of increased dev costs and a more evenly spread market share, if a game is not signed in blood as exclusive, it's very likely to be multiplatform.

You're very correct. I'm good mates with someone in a major studio who has had to start the porting process you describe. At the moment, 3rd party developers would be shooting themselves in the foot not releasing their work on both platforms.

Translation? "Sony has no serious rival in Japan. But Americans are more 'independent' LOL and Sony needs to put the bulk of its units against the rival 360. If the PS3 units were focused on the Japanese market, the PS3 would end up like the nGage in the US.
