I agree with this 100%. I really think the Dodgers might have had a chance at winning at least one of those games if the Mets manager was not so damn good. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the way Willie Randolph handled the bullpen in the Mets and Dodgers series, and I really think he should win the Manager of the Year award now. Willie managed the bullpen like a manager who wanted to win every game at all costs. On the other hand, Grady Little acted like the playoffs were just like any regular season game in the middle of May...he made so many mistakes with managing the bullpen that it was laughable.

I was sure Carpenter was going to be out by the third inning after he walked in that first run, but he really settled down nicely. Mets-Tigers world series is coming. I thing Joe Torre's job rests on how the Tigers pitch the rest of the way; if the Tigers completely shut down two more playoff teams at least Torre can say "They're that good".

You guys can knock Torre all you want, I'm praying Uncle Ted opens the wallet and gets him. At least he doesn't challenge his players to fistfights. Several times a season.

I'm sure the first question out of Joe Buck's mouth to the manager of the 2006 World Champions will be what the impact of the World Series will be on Joe Torre's job.

Wrong in every way, your guy only challanges players who either A) Are not team players or B) Suck ass and sulk
