Carpenter is 1-2 with a 4.24 ERA in three career starts against the Mets if that means anything and Carps road numbers are nowhere near as good as his home numbers. Maine got murdered by Pujols last time out (Albert his a 3 run homer and a grand slam against the kid) so he needs a new gameplay against him no? Its gonna be f'n freezing at Shea tonight..then again it may snow during the Tigers/A's game!
Zumaya is gone for awhile which hurts the Tigers but it should be a good game there. Lets see if Oakland can make it a series with a win this afternoon.
Maine has to brush Pujols back. Period. Never have I seen a clearer case of a pitcher not named Shawn Estes needing to go inside.
