Nations didn't have starforce. Or at least it didn't have the stupid StarForce driver that messes with you CD drive, which is the part everyone hates.

Apparently Starforce is so bad that it's influencing reviews.

Yeah, so I got the digital download version of this. Copy protection aside, it's pretty awesome. Nice to have everything in one place, especially considering that United is able to read all of the old track data from the previous games.
I'm good with giving an otherwise great game a 0 for Starforce. I mean, I'm not buying it after all, and no force on earth is getting it on my PC, so 0 sounds perfectly reasonable.

So the digital download version has SF? What a pity.
Glad I didn't wind up buying it.
I don't know if the downloadable version has Starforce. It doesn't look for any CDs and didn't ask me to restart my computer after installing. I don't notice any performace problems either.
The biggest issue is that you are apparently limited to 3 seperate installs before you're required to email the publisher (or some security company, I'm not sure,) to reactivate your CD key. Or something.
It's no Steam, but it still beats CD checks.
I would like to get verification on whether or not the digital dl version indeed uses start force
Yeah, I'm all for that score. I love these games to death, which just makes Starforce an even bigger problem.
It'd be cool if places like GFW, IGN, and PC Gamer would do the same, but that won't happen.
