Freeware PC developer Derek Yu/Blackeye Software are making their first shareware game, an underwater action/adventure called Aquaria. They're the developer of the cool Metroidvania/Wonder Boy-ish game Eternal Daughter and the Jack Thompson bashing game I'm O.K.. I think this has a lot of potential. It's supposed to be out early next year.

Looks good. Eternal Daughter is in my Pile of Shame - I should try to start it tonight. Have you finished it?
Aquaria looks pretty.
I will check out Eternal Daughter this weekend. Never heard of it before. I read that it's insanely frustrating at times, though, so I'm kinda scared.
I just started it recently. I actually thought I had played it a long time ago but it turns out I was mistaking it for another game. I'm impressed so far.Quote:

Eternal Daughter is really unbalanced (enemies deal too much damage and some bosses are plain impossible) - they were young so it was driven by passion more than talent. I'm hoping Aquaria will find a happy medium between the two.

Hmm, looks very Ecco the Dolphin. Definitely a style that hasn't been played out yet.
