I'm not really defending its misuse so much as I am wishing out lowd that children in grade school were taught how to write better.

But, for your first statement, yes it would pretty easy to get through school without ever using "too." From the proof reading I've done, not a lot of people write wordy sentences that require that word (but lol, I'm in MS so whatever.) I guess you could ask Melf or Flux about the writing habits of studients these days.

But that brings me to another thing I think is wrong with grade school English classes. I don't know about you, but I had a couple English teachers that did that "group" proof reading crap. Which for grade schoolers is like the blind leading the blind. Little kids that would much rather be playing or eating candy have no real business teaching each other how to write. Group reading may work in private schools or accelerated classes, but it only hurts kids in public school imo.

btw, all of this post is just opinions. There is no reason for anyone to flip out and insult my mother's dog or something.
