This month's haul: October

i found " a hero's tale" to be charming, not up to the original insomniac standard, but competent enough. this game has really good world art, and i liked the new combo based combat. but the voices just flat out kill the game for me, they reimagined every character for the worse, sparx is a insufferable jackass, spyro appears to be stoned off his ass, and elija wood just brings nothing to the character at all, he reads with no conviction or character at all, this game was a quick paycheck for him and nothing else.

My copy of Rakugaki Showtime is barely playable because it doesn't have the spinecard. It makes the X Button unresponsive and loads up David Crane's A Boy and his Blob.

That's extremely interesting Jeremy. What if your first two DMCs were GH, would that actually make you prefer Greatest Hits for DMC 3 SET? I would think so, because it's not the individual games with GH that matters it's more how the games are represented in your grand collection. I think the greatest marketing move Sony ever did was go from the PSone flouro-green Greatest Hits spine art to the PS2 red superior edge. Sony were fools for thinking that making games that have sold lots of units stand out so that the large minority of casual consumers would be drawn to them and know them as cheap and presumably good games is ill advised; and they would make a lot more sales from a small collection of anally-retentive retards.

1) Fatal Frame III- because i like the series and III is getting hard to find
2) Finny the Fish- another NeoZeed won't shut up about it game
3) Suikoden Tactics- because it was there and it was cheap

I don't know who Morph got the extra copy of PSU for, but I'll be glad to join if he sends me a copy.

Just got my copies of Tomb Raider gold and Revelation from ebay. I'm able to run them fine through XP with all the patches and updates thanks to a few sites I just came across recently.

Morphix got PSU for him and his brother.
