Super Game Boy 2 Converter...What is it?

I saw this peripheral on some websites but I don't know exactly what it is, can someone tell me?


I remember there was a Super Game Boy converter released by Nintendo back in 1994 that allowed you to play Game Boy games on your SNES/TV screen but I don't remember a part 2 being released.

It was a Japanese release. To my knowledge, its only additional feature is that it allows a GB to link to it for 2-player games.

I'd like to see confirmation of that. Not even Buy Rite claims that it can do that, and I think they claimed the PS2 could make waffles at some point.

It will *not* allow you to play GBC games. The only difference between this Japan-only release and the Super Game Boy released in the USA is the addition of a link port on the unit. Also, the casing is clear blue instead of the staid beige of the US model.

Super Game Boy 2 doesn't support GBC games (I don't know where Lucas got that from), but there is IntSys' Wide-Boy 64 Adapter that allows you to play GBC on your N64, as well as Wide-Boy 64 for AGB (which is the same, except it supports GBA games too). Sadly neither tools are avaible for the general public. They're only used for trade shows or development purposes.
