Tell me about it, you keep me up all night.

When I worked for a furniture store [Sure Fit in Ajax], I worked with a couple of guys I had known since grade 2. This place was a factory outlet and sold furnishings, cushions, etc. We used to burrow a little nest behind a row of cushions on the shelf and hollow it out into a bed, then take 2 hour shifts sleeping, since there were 2 guys to do any of the work no one ever asked where the third was.
Once when I worked as a halfpipe groomer at a local ski area I was on the clock for 36 hours straight. Intermittently between being on the mountain I took naps on the floor in my office, on a bench in the ski school, and in the passenger seat of my car, all the while being paid. Unfortunately being "seasonal work" there is no overtime pay, so its not like I put one over on my employer.
I was a snowboard instructor for a couple seasons, and I NEVER worked. We would go to lineup to get our classes, and me and my boys would hide in the back, hoping to not get a class so that we could just ride all day.
snowboard instructor = free season pass
Oh, and stealing the ski instructors lunches was the best part.
Damn, you lucked out. The mountain I worked at had school groups or church groups or whatnot all the time. The season I worked as an instructed sucked - never any free time to ride. We always got stuck with a group of unathletic x-games wannebes. I hated instructing! And when we didn't have lessons we'd get roped into doing clinics or some other BS. You had to kiss ass to get freetime to ride. They didn't give us season passes either. You had to check in at ski school and if you'd been "good" all week you might get a ticket without hassle. And since we got lift access they somehow got away with paying like $3.25/hr while in lessons and the rest of the time you didn't get paid!

That happened where we worked too - nobody's lunch was safe. Though I always thought the best part was making out with the hot ski instructor chicks.
Yeah, seriously.
Oh, shooting love, what mountain were you at. I did one season at Liberty in PA and one at Sunlight in Glenwood Springs, CO.
Just got the word that I'm booked late tonight. Somebody fucking shoot me, I'm too tired to do it myself.
I used to work at a group home, staying overnight to make sure the kids didnt try to escape the house, on rare occasions if my teammate(there were always 2 of us in case we needed to seperate the kids) had his tv set up so that the kids absolutely could not get out of their rooms, id take a short nap on the floor. this turned out not to be great for my back, but there were never any troubles, since our kids were just low level troublemakers. if i were in the houses with repeat the violent offenders, my eyes would never have blinked.
