This game rules! But recently I've been having a hard time completing Naglfars Pit. I can get about halfway up to where there is a whole bunch of pillars but I can't seem to get any farther. I just seems I can't boost high enough to some platforms. Very frustrating, and Dr. Hebble's voice is starting to creap me out.
So...does anyone have advice/tips to help me through this level? Thanks.
Look to the walls which surround the arena. You'll see some green areas that stand out from the rest, you can dash onto those and run along them. Keep working your way up...
Mech is, of course, correct. In the beginning of the stage, it's pretty obvious to spot the "next highest" platform. About half-way up, you'll come to a point where it's not as easy to spot. This is where you bail off to the side, where the "green" ledges are. The first landing point is actually a small "green" incline/slope. Go up the slope, traverse the ledge, and you'll be back on track.
By the way, after that, realize that you have to use/land on those tall, thin structures, in addition to the wide circular platforms.
p.s. -- don't lose too much health in the process because...
Also, if you use the guy you can meteor crash boost up high and skip some of the tedium. You can also boost cancel (basically keep pumping the boost button over and over) from one side of the level to the other. Once you've got the layout of the level down, it becomes very, very easy. I can do Pit1 almost blindfolded now.
I had the same problem. I got to a point where I just could not get the little bit of height that I needed (I had already walked up to the highest green ledge).Quote:

The easiest way is what Ammadeau said - just pick the guy and blast off (button push both analog sticks) to the top. Avoid the rest of the level.
