First Look: Final Fantasy XI

Ever since the massive success of <i>Final Fantasy VII</i> on the PlayStation, players from every corner of the globe have come to expect greatness with each release in the <i>Final Fantasy</i> series. The version they were showing at E3 was the finished Japanese game, complete with broadband online play and a player filled world. A colleague and myself stepped up to try the newest game in the series that redefined the genre of RPGs...

The only link to the once-proud series is the Chocobo, who looks so out of place he seems like he's running for the next installment rather than the next town.

Well I am still looking foward to playing it, hopefully once I get a good chance to play the english version I will have a better opinion of it then, if not then there is always Final Fantasy GameCube and XII ;)

I'm with Werewolf on this one. I like Square games, and FFXI looks pretty interesting to me. Even with all this reported problems, I hope the game will be fun, and I will check it out, when it comes to US.
