Did you try to change the 360 output resolution? Might have to be set to 720p or 1080i for your tv.
I had it on 720p, but not 1080i. I'll give that a spin next. But it shouldn't matter, right? The TV should just pick up whatever I have it on, and let me adjust resolution (as opposed to 720p/1080i/480p).
Problem solved. When I was goofing around with HD on a Dell 17" monitor we have, I set the dashboard resolution to 1280x1024. The TV's highest resolution is, wait for it, 1366x768. So the TV wasn't showing anything because it was an invalid resolution for it.
So, I hooked up the monitor again, changed the resolution down to 640x480, and rehooked up the VGA to the TV. Great success.
Xbox 360 doesn't upscale. Tough titty on that one.

I was just on ebay bidding on broken xbox 360s to try to get one then have MS fix it. Being the fact that the prices for them are so cheap I don't think people look at the condition, because I constantly got outbid. Some of the systems that were broken mind you got up to over 200 dollars. I was like fuck that shit I'd pay no more than 50 bucks for a broken one. Still looks like I'll have to pay full price if I want one.
Has anyone learned how to just put the HD DVD drive inside of an xbox 360 yet?
That would be dumb, because then you couldn't play any games.

Like I said I wanted it so I could get it fixed. I think it's cheaper than just out right buying one, especially if it has the Red Ring of Death. I think MS is fixing those for free.
