Seeing as the title card says "A Brute! Film" I doubt that's a coincidence.

It's not a cartoon with a real payoff or punchline or anything, I just love the style and the underground comic book vibe of the whole thing. It's unique.
Marv Newland is the founder of International Rocketship and produced everything they ever did. I wouldn't slight the guy like that. Someone needs to find Black Hula or Anijam.
I'd be happy to watch them, but keeping my expectations low. Yeah, he doesn't aim for accessibility, but on the flipside he doesn't do anything really surreal or crazy or awesome either. His nihlism seems to come from having no budget.
