Yeah, you can just throw them onto the card in no real order and the Wii will organise them for you. Same for MP3's.

Cool, thanks.
my nephew got a wii for xmas, and while it's definitely fun, it's not perfect.
I'm not sure if my wii experience is typical, but i've encountered several annoying issues with the hardware and games.
it's hard as fuck to get a second remote connected. it usually takes at least a minute of fucking with it to get it to connect. the system says to press 1+2, but that only works about once in four times. the rest of the time, the four lights just keep flashing and nothing happens.
it's also apparently impossible to connect a second controller from within Rampage, as it doesn't even seem to have that option, despite being a multiplayer game. i had to setup both remotes in wii sports, then switch to Rampage to get it working. and since every time the system is powered down, the second remote need to be re-synced, this is a serious pain in the ass.
wii sports bowling is also glitchy. if i try play multiplayer with two remotes, it gets stuck in this endless cycle where p1 picks a mii, then p1 picks L/R setup,
then p2 picks a mii, then p1 picks L/R setup AGAIN, then p2 picks a mii AGAIN, then p1 picks L/R setup AGAIN, etc., etc.
i'm definiely not fucking impressed.
Use the red button under the battery cover of the remote to sync things up.
It shouldnt. If the Wii is off and I want to play, all I do is just press any of the buttons (usually A) and the lights at the bottom will light up according to which slot it was synched to.
If it doesnt work, just do what portnyd said. Use the red button to resynch. But you should only do it once and after that, it should be fine.
quick question, i dont know what my little sister did with the Wii manual, but when i hold the off button on the wiimote to turn it off, the wii has a yellow light instead of the red, and the disc slot glows on and off. I called my cousin who says his doesnt do that. Is it cause i have it connected on the internet and this is the wiiconnect24 stuff or is this just some odd standby.
Well, that was simple. Re-syncing it worked, although I'm not sure why it lost sync in the first place. The manual says it should stay synced until you change the settings. Maybe someone took the batteries out or messed with the options after we set it up. For some reason, when I synced it this time, it assumed the 1p slot and put the pack-in remote in the 2p slot. It didn't do that originally. so maybe I just fucked up the process the first time.
The problem with bowling is still a mystery, though. I thought the same thing as Detour when my nephews couldn't get it working, but I took over both remotes, so I know which buttons were being pressed. I actually tried using the B button at one point just for the hell of it, and it did the same thing as pressing A, except I think it made a different sound. We tried it after I synced the remote, and it worked fine.
That same remote had some other weird issues that went away after I got everything working, like having really jerky motion and just generally behaving differently from the other remote. I don't think the in-game syncing is supposed to be as flaky as it was, either, so maybe there were just some gremlins in the remote.
I guess Rampage just doesn't support in-game syncing because it doesn't use Miis, or because it's kinda crappy. Whatever. Everything works great now, so I don't care.
The only issue we're having now is that FarCry looks like a first-gen Dreamcast game. lol
