The demo confirmed a no buy from me also. If people were bitching about odst being just an expansion they should try this. What a shame. It was going to be an xmas game for me.

the addition of the magnum and new middle strength zombies alone merits the purchase I think. I dunno, I just love this fucking game.
I wish it had a couple boss fights, but it's so hard to make non shitty boss fights. If they had classes they could do an interesting one.
The PC version looks quite a bit better. Lots of fun with people.
There really isn't much to change in the core gameplay, I'm not sure what people are really looking for here. It takes a few runs to notice many of the changes.
The biggest gameplay change I notice was the corner stacking nerfing that happened. Which I find dumb, but oh well. (you get pushed out if you stack in the corner, which causes you to take damage from your friends) The new maps and zombies alone add a different challenge to the game than the previous one (Tanks are still in the game, we've experienced 4 or 5 of them during play. I don't think tanks needed any tweaking they were pretty good as they were)
The new guns and melee weapons are pretty awesome. Not sure how you play, Cow, but the frying pan is one of the best melee weapons outside of the machete. Maybe even better. I usually opt out for melee weapons over pistols simply because by the time I'm using my pistol I'm usually almost dead, anyway. I can turtle pretty effectively with the melee weapons unless a specialty zombie creeps up on me.
I only played The Parish on expert and loved it as much as the first. Also the new boomer puke has a really good use to it. It not only gets zombies off of you but also slows down tanks and chargers (and any zombie, really). It's especially great when you're being horded - much better than fire.
Yeah I mean the more you play it the more you realize how much better than 1 it is.
