tried Blackbeary Wheat ale 2 nights ago, it was deliscious.
I went to a Sam Adams tasting at a pub called Pizza Plant. It was supposed to be "The Return of the Utopias" but apparently UPS never delivered it. Major bummer. Did get to try the two Sam Adams choices that are competing for bottling next year. A dunkelweizen and an Irish red. I voted for the dunkel. They also had the Imperial Pilsiner on tap so that was nice to sample. I'm still pissed I didn't get to try the Utopias, though.
PS: Still can't seem to find the vodka.
Stone's Vertical Epic FTW. Rogue Morimoto, too.
Biff-chan, it's your week to pick a drink. arjue, you're in reserve :).
Well since Biff is a no show:
BEER - Boags St George
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/a...1&d=1191027504
This beer is loved both by casual drinkers and beer connoisseurs alike. Its crisp, clean and complex, refreshing and smooth. I really hope you guys have more luck finding it over there than you did the VB.
WINE - Woop Woop Shiraz

Keeping with my theme of ridiculously low priced performing Australian shiraz, I offer you the Woop Woop range. Its not as good as the Yalumba I recomended last time, but its still very good imo and as I understand it readily available stateside.
Tasting notes:
A ripe ‘joosy; red made initially for the export market and after great success in the U.S. has become an Australian household label. Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Lifted nose of vanilla, violet, ripe plum and spice, displaying generous ripe fruit aroma. The palate delivers the ripe fruit flavours that the nose promises. Flavours of ripe plum, liquorice and spice over a ‘joosy’ textured background. Aftertaste of plum, liquorice and spice. A well made, early drinking style.
Cellar 2-3 years (2009-2010)
Alc/Vol: 15%
rated: 90 points
The entire range is quality so don't be shy trying any of them. Hell, at a measly $10 or so try all of them.
