Figured it out anyways. Doesnt show AAC under formats in the options. WMA better than MP3? Comparable to AAC in size and quality?
WMA is crap I can tell you that.
Also not a windows user though.
if you want to use your files everywhere just use mp3. Turn up the file size if you need better quality, space is cheap.
wma is just a container. they're usually encoded the same as mp3.
Someone in this thread is one point away from a ban. Someone in this thread deserves a one-point card for his behavior in this thread. Even Apple users should be able to figure this one out.
Be civil.
iTunes downloads are DRM (digital rights management) protected. As in, they only play on iPods and in iTunes. Don't blame Apple, blame the record companies. Some record companies have come around and they sell DRM-free, regular-ass MP3s on iTunes now (these are called iTunes Plus).
These DRM-ed pieces of shit won't play on your Xbox or anything else. You can burn them to CD and then re-rip them as MP3 from that CD, but you lose a ton of audio quality. (not like you care, you're the one wanting to transcode everything for it to play on your 360 anyway) It's your choice, but from now on, don't buy shit from anyone that DRMs your purchases. And spread the word so others don't get burnt like you did. animegirl made the same mistake last year, and it fucking boggles my mind that people don't realize that iTunes tracks are protected from use on anything that isn't Apple. I figured the knowledge was as well-known as the fact that bears like honey.

I'm doing something retarded with portable memory and I'm not sure what. I've got a 2 gb pro stick duo, and if I move files to trash they don't show up in the file window, but my stick still shows as having no space. I thought maybe that pro stick was fried but then I tried the same thing with a friend's USB stick and the same thing happened - the stick seems empty, but I can't put anything on it, the listed memory space available is limited and there's nothing to delete.
I'm sure there's an obvious solution to this but I'm not sure what it is.
