Sega just announced a new game for the PSP called Crush. It's got a terribly generic name, and it's developed by Kuju. But don't write it off yet.
Here's the concept: the game takes place within the mind of a man who's life is at a dead-end; a neurotic, nervous insomniac who's only chance to turn his life around lies in hypnosis, where he enters his own mind in hopes of regaining his sanity. Sounds interesting enough (though maybe a bit derivative of Psychonauts). The real hook, however, lies in the gameplay. It's a mix between a platformer and a puzzler, and the interesting idea behind it, is that in order to progress in the spatial area, you need to "crush" the environment, from a 3D, free-roaming space, to a 2D, side-scroller-like plane.
I'm not going to post any screenshots, because the game looks retarded in stills, and you need to see it in motion to get an idea of how it works. It looks really, really neat. It's interesting, original ideas like this are what the PSP desperately needs more of. Give it a look (mov, wmv, avi files at link):
Viral Marketer nothing, this game looks fucking sick.

Sick as in a cheap gimmick that's skin deep?

I think g0zen's cynicism is dripping onto this post.

I'm impressed with what I saw. It could be a good game.

Sega doing something potentially creative? Nice to see they still know how, I'm looking forward to this one.

It looks interesting. Interesting enough for me to spend 200+ on:no. But interesting nonetheless but this gimmick has to potential to be very tiresome very fast.
