Right, I know, everybody knows, but the way the movie handled it was such a brilliant twist. I'd hate to see it undone.
For some freakish reason I love the look of the pavement in this movie, US interstates need a upgrade IMO. *-neo
Jawesome movie.
Im just glad that they didnt use the term "Car-Fu" like on the back of the videogame cases. *shudder*
I could go for this.
The movie was ok at its best moments, but I didn't see it was something done right overall. The pacing could use some work and the finish to the final race left me rolling my eyes. Emi wasn't too bad as Speed. Christina was hot was Trixie, but far under used. John Goodman was well-casted.
CG was ok. I was hoping for something a bit tighter. It's visually colorful, but all the cars start to look the same as the races are going on. Musha Motors is a good example of something that became a little more than a blue blur.

Also, the exposition during the beginning and final races could have been cut down a lot. I'm shocked we didn't get a background story to Spritle, ChimChim, and Sparky while they kept interupting the race.
This movie was recently released on DVD and Blu Ray, and reviewers and AV freaks alike are calling the BRD 2008's "reference disc" with apparently flawless video and stunning color/picture. You'll be seeing this movie in department stores a lot this holiday season to show off Blu Ray/HDTV's I'll bet.
I really liked the movie regardless, so it's a nice double bonus :)
Nice. I will be picking this up once the next freelance check comes in.
I just caught this last night. I was "dazzled". I'd download it.
I checked this out and I can tell you the 720p version of it was damn fucking nice that I saw. Also the movie was ALOT better than I thought it was going to be. Pretty enjoyable.
It was so colorful in the theatres that I had to watch a black and white film to get the color out of my eyes afterwards.
It feels like Speed Racer meets F-Zero.
