Why shouldn't they? He is probably the most objective MS employee I've ever heard on a podcast. He talks about his DS, and looking for a Wii, along with playing games on other PLATFORMS.

Sure he's an MS employee, but it's obvious he plays games and doesn't just spew out MS Drone Babble.

Yes, I did (except for the WiFi part). You know why? Because Call of Duty 2-3, Condemned, Dead Rising, Gears of War, GRAW, Lost Planet, Oblivion, Project Gotham 3, Rainbow Six, Ridge Racer 6, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider Legend, and Viva Pinata are better than the PS3's entire lineup will be when 2007 ends. You cannot possibly make an objective argument as to why you would buy a PS3 right now. There isn't even anything coming in the next six months that could be preparing to play. It's an idiotic purchase that you keep trying to justify. The 360 has every genre covered well (or will when Blue Dragon hits). Saying that it doesn't appeal to you says that you're a dumbass fanboy and not a gamer.

Sony bullied their way into an industry that they didn't understand and didn't care to understand. I was a Sega fan for well over a decade. Sony eliminated them from the hardware market without returning anything of value. I wanted the Saturn to succeed and the PS1 to fail, and now, over a decade later, I was absolutely right in hoping that. All of my suspicions about Sony have panned out. I was wrong about Microsoft, but I was dead on about Sony. I hope the PS3 fails fantastically before anything I want to play is released on it exclusively. I want Sony's wallet-flashing, innovationless bullshit out of my hobby. Microsoft has proven to have a gaming divison, not completely unlike Nintendo and Sega of 1990. Sony only has a cash cow. Thankfully, the utters are dry. Fuck Sony. And none of that has anything to do with the price tag.

One of Yoshi's best posts. I can't stop reading it, because I actually feel the same way.

My hatred for Sony like I said earlier was the gaming end. Not the electronics end. And I too have a long standing hatred for their gaming brand. Their cocky attitude towards the fans. The "Oh okay since you guys asked nice we'll release a few 2-D games." The statements like "The system is so powerful it can launch rockets and fly ships to the moon." These statements show a lack of respect and a definite look of distain for the fans of gaming. They think and hope that true gamers are stupid enough to believe their statements garnered more towards the mainstream media.

Sony: Well since CNN, MSNBC, and Fox believe us ... then I bet this shit will stick with the gamers too and they'll be eating out of our hands.

That's how I picture their convos in the board rooms. I respect some of the games they created. But overall, like Yoshi said they have been running on the coattails of previous generations.

I was going to say something about the cross so thanks Yoshi. You've accomodated me nicely with that second gif.

Your list doesn't even include games like Lost Planet or Crackdown, which are both looking like fun new releases.

As to the topic, I think it really goes back to Dreamcast - a lot of people are still holding a grudge over that, and SCEA's stance against localizing old-school/"hardcore"-targeted games hasn't helped either.

the PSX was the orginal name of the playstation. The playstation got its new nickname, PS1, after the release of the smaller playstation.

Installation depends on the game. The game cases state hard drive "need." Resistance is supposed to install 120mb, but it takes about half of that last time i check, i believe its leaving itself open for updates and upgrades.
