I have a panorama photo that is 4939 pixels W by 949 pixels H. How can I make sure this is 16:9 in Photoshop?
Am I correct in saving the image size as 3747x720 or does it have to be 1280x720?

It's for a contest. I'd hate to destroy the actual picture but it seems a lot of cropping is necessary or else it gets a fisheye effect.
And it has to be 16:9 aspect ratio? If so that is going to take a significant amount of the image off. If it does have to be 16:9, one thing I can think of off the top of my head is to make is make the width 16 in in image size and then make the hight 9 in in canvas size and make the background black. Essentially, it is letter boxed. What ppi is the image in?
Yes.
Well if the letter boxing is out of the question, the only thing there is to do is crop, because as of right now, you image has roughly an aspect ratio of 26:5.
Photographed some high school basketball games last night. Ended up with over 200 photos, and I have been working on them all day. Still not even really done with them all. Need to go through some of them and do a little color balance in photoshop. Here are some of my favorites.
Everything can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/erik_un...7625757801064/
But beware, there are over 200 photos in that set.
Also, high school gym lights can suck a nut. Shot full manual and set my white balance, and even then not all images are all that similar. the lights in a high school gym change frequency and brightness so fast, though even shooting at 1/640 shutter speed is too fast to catch the change. That and one side having a nice white painted wall to reflect light off of and the other a crappy blue tarp makes one side amazing to shoot on and the other a pain. Such is the life of shooting high school games. I'm trying to get access to photographing Belmont University basketball games, but not sure if that is going to happen.
Would anyone be interested in participating in a less than artistic photo thread? A silly picture thread?
Signed up for a year at SmugMug. Have already made a little over $30 from it, so hopefully I can at least make enough back to cover the yearly cost. My page is http://ungerphotography.smugmug.com/. Right now it only has a couple of sports galleries and only a couple of fine art/landscape/nature galleries, but I will be updating it throughout to week to get most of my stuff up there. Have to upload full res images, so it can take a while to upload a single gallery.
I will not be putting up the image for my limited edition print on here of course for the sake of keeping it limited. As far as that goes, I should be getting some samples of the paper I hope to use, and then should be able to start printing shortly after that.
