It would have been Blues Brothers 2000 anyway.
I was going to make a thread titled "You Can't Go Home Again" in which we could list all the awful movies that were made years after the original.
Blues Brothers 2000 would be there.
So would Clerks II, Boondock Saints II, and all those horrible Disney direct to video sequels.
And The Black Bird.
And Slap Shot 2.
But I got bored with it and decided not to.

I never liked Boondock Saints.

Yep, one of those super serious guys that never makes jokes.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hilarious, but I don't think any of the women named so far for this project are particularly funny.
The number of young people in my classes this semester that listed RD as their favorite film and Tarantino as their favorite director astounded me. Don't get me wrong, I like Tarantino and when I was their age I loved RD. But that's because RD was a new release and all that he had out at the time and he was a fresh face. It would seem to me that if you were going to step out of your own time (none of these kids were alive in 1992) to find a director to like, why not go back and look at the ones that clearly influenced him (any number of 70's directors).Quote:
