Has your opinion on any of the current consoles changed since thier launch?

Now, granted, the question isnt terribly fair. Xbox and GameCube havent really had a chance to shine, but most of thier heavy hitters in the coming year have been announced and shown. So I was curious, if anyone has changed thier minds about the current three. Ive seen alot of peple go from apathetic or dissintrested in Xbox, to downright love. I had a friend go from thinking the industry is worthless to loving GameCube.

Peronally, not alot has changed. I've gained more faith overall in the consoles, and the main contributors to those consoles.

I still think the PS2 hardware is stupid. I still love the Xbox comes with a HD and Broad Band. I still think my GameCube is the coolest looking toaster on the block.

The GameCube is really the one thats seen the most change from its launch. Metroid had me worried, but now I have complete faith. I was apathetic to the realistic Zelda, and I absolutely adore the new Zelda. I have a feeling that my little black box will have lot of suprizes in store for me.

PS2 has been gaining my respect. Im glad to see developers finally getting a handle on it. Mark of Kri is visually impressive to me. One of the most "clean" games Ive seen on the system. In the end it just has a ton of games Im really intrested in.

Xbox. I never really had much aprehension twords Xbox. Im just glad to see it gaining the type of library I wouldn't have expected it to get. O.TO.Gi, Murakumo, Pazer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio Future, Gun Valkyrie, Crimson Skies, and a bunch more.

Well, Obiviously Xbox had the biggest change, since soo many people went from complete apathy for it, to a great excitement and aticipation :) Just look on how many posters here got Xboxes in the last few weeks :)

As for me I still think that PS2 and its line up of games is best out of 3. I'm very excited about this year line up, with DMC2, Shinobi, GunGrave, Onimusha 2 and many other ones.

Xbox has a great line up, and with games like Morrowind and upcoming DTR is will be a great system to play. And its good to see more people getting them as well :)

Cube still the weekest of the 3 for me. I dont care about most of the upcoming BigN line up, except for Prime, ED and Dino Planet. And ofcourse Capcom's RE series, and I hope there will be more games on this system for my tastes. But it just me, and for many other people Cube, is actually best looking system now, and if so, good for them :)

I went from passing off the Xbox at launch to "downright loving" it. Hell, I even love HALO, a game that I scoffed at all the way through its Xbox development.

The Cube is gonna ROCK this fall. Since its launch I've had fun with the system, but its been third-place for me. This fall though, between Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and sleeper-hits like Lost Kingdoms, the Cube will definately be worth owning.

PS2 has always been solid fun for me, well ever since the good games stared coming out this past Fall. I think the hardware is weak (please no flaming, its just an opinion), but the games lineup is solid. Along with Dreamcast and Saturn imports, the PS2 is going to be my main summertime system.

Well, it kinda hard to tell, this fall, I'll likely buy a GCN for Zelda and a few others...

I was always pretty big on Xbox, largely for what it could bring to console gaming. Right now, and looking at the furture releases I am incredibly excited I belive the Xbox has actually surpassed my lofty expectations.

The PS2 has been love/hate from day one. There are some incredible games on it and the future holds some of the more interesting titles like Shinobi, Contra, GunGrave and perhaps The Getaway... Sky Gunner is amazing too. As good as the good PS2 games are, I find them to be few and most remakes of the same kind of games I played on PSX. I'm not talking about sequels rather the fact that nothing really feels next gen on it besides Rez and GTA3. 'Feeling' next gen is not critically important... but I can't help but feel like you're actually at the next level when you simply LOOK at games like Project Ego, Steel Battalion and playing Morrowind hammers that home. PS2 fills the norm quite well though. Great games on some iffy hardware, but overall the PS2 is A+ in my book. Good system well worth owning right now with or without the future titles.

My opinions haven't change much, but where they have it always been for the better.

My PS2 is gathering dust but I hope to buy FFXI this week and then it will get 90% of my play time this summer. Shinobi, Silent Hill 3 and FFXII are the games I badly want for the system. Ninja Assualt and Virtua Cop Rebirth will mean more Guncon 2 action. I loved ZOE so ZOE2 is another sequel I can't wait to play.

Xbox keeps getting better and better. Kurenai no Umi, Ridge Racer 6, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and of course Outrun 2 mean my purchase and faith in the system should definately be intact. It has the best lineup of games for this year of the 3 systems. Murakumo is out next month along with Crazy Taxi 3 but I still need to buy Gunvalkyrie! Nice constant stream of games to play.

I still don't think the GCN warrants purchase for me but F-Zero, Biohazard Zero and Super Monkey Ball all should be great games. I don't care for Zelda nor Metroid Prime (Metroid Fusion however i'd love to play) and i'd sooner play Sonic Adventure 3 than Mario Sunshine. Unless F-Zero is truly amazing I don't think I will buy a GCN at all especially as Sega support for it is so damn weak.

I dunno, with the exception of my perceptions being tweaked on the PS2 (great games, not the best looker on the block, but well worth purchase) I can't say anything else. Since Klonoa 2, I knew I wanted a PS2. I bought a GC right at launch. The XBox has had me giddy since the intial announcements of Project Ego and Marrowind. Overall, the recent games I saw at e3 just makes it all the more exciting for all three systems.

My take:

I was impressed enough by the Cube to buy one recently, and I'm most excited about its 2002 lineup out of the three majors.

I was an Xbox atheist, played some games, thought they were cool, and now have respect for it...but not enough to own one.

The PS2 is love/hate indeed. Its late 2001 lineup was so good...can it sustain that kind of quality software? It's got the most games coming out, which means it's got the best chance for crap, but also a great chance for standout titles.

After this years E3 both GameCube and X-Box systems have gained more respect from me, now I just need to get some cash to buy them :)
