I'm guessing Faraday had the same condition of sorts that Desmond and Minkowski have and using Desmond as a constant should cure that?

Next episode is an on-island Juliet flashback. Charles Widmore is listed on the episode's credits. I am guessing the 'common enemy' Ben mentions in the preview is Charles Widmore? I don't know anymore. But supposedly we will be going to the Orchid hatch mentioned in the Comic Con film.

Excellent episode. Even sappy slow mo music fit perfectly tonight.



I believe that Daniel was affected the same way Desmond might have been, during their arrival to the island. It just not manifesting as greatly yet.

Time traveling and paradoxes, yet things tie in nicely. Bravo. And as I was waiting to see Daniel discover the past change effects and there they were.

Scenes of time jumping were great. And so was sense of dread, as Desmond discovered his possible fate.

I did laugh when Minkovski got knocked out and his head hit the table. BOINK

Yes, when I saw the auction and announcer said the story about the boat and journal, and Whittmore was there, it all fit together with the old boat they found in season 2.

I bet its Michael running around the boat.

So the time delay between island and boat is more than a day (24 hours?)

OH GOD BEST EPISODE EVER.

One of the best ones so far, thats for sure.

The writers should redo the rest of the season and make nothing but Desmond episodes until the series ends.

Seems like it. Sayid asked Frank how they left at dusk and arrived mid-day. The storm threw off Frank's vector so I imagine they veered slightly off real time, just like the beacon from the Sayid episode. How time lost you become depends on what vector you approach the island from.

My guess is exposure to amounts of radiation + the time-lost effect cause the consciousness jumping. Desmond had the hatch radiation, Faraday had a lot of experimental radiation and Minkowski... umm... communication radiation? I dunno.

Pure mother fucking sex of an episode. If Lost was a girl, I'd bang her to death.

- How the scenes were done with Desmond jumping through time was awesome. For a second, I didn't think he would get all the numbers in Penny's number to call her and that he would've died.
- Mystery man is probably Michael, but then again I wouldn't expect it to be someone obvious.

Good job captain obvious. The last thing we saw in the episode that Desmond is Daniel's constant.

Ya, I've been watching LOST since Season 1 ep 1, and this ep. is def one of the best ever. I actually teared up at the end... Ok, it was the best ep. ever...

I hope there's some actual science to back up this notion that time travel causes such bad psychological trauma that your brain physically dies, 'cause it seems pretty silly to me.

I'm really pleased you guys liked this weeks ep. I came out of it thinking I would be the only one to love it. Desmond fucking rocks. Got to admit I was moved when Penelope and Desmond finally talked. Thats saying a TON. I'm a movie/TV hardass and nothing ever gets to me.
