Can anyone give me instructions as to the how and where I'm supposed to install it? I've done searches on the net for CS 1.5 and can only find files but no instructions. Also, I might add, that I have dled the files and copied over old files (and installed new ones) under the counter-strike folder. However... whenever I start up my game, I still get the out of date pop up box.
Any help?

Well, man, I have to say, this has happened to lots of fellow CS players I know, and almost all of them ended up having to uninstall all of Half Life and delete the whole directory, then do a clean HL install followed by full, most up-to-date HL patch and full CS mod. Hope you have broadband if you don't already have those files downloaded.
Wish I could provide you more support, man. But when HL/CS files corrupt like that I'm afraid the above is your only REAL option. Hope that helps.
That happened to me two updates ago :( Last update it totally messed up my video drivers too :( CS is still my all time favorite game, but it sure hasn't been to nice to me despite all my love of it :pQuote:

Isn't the latest CS 1.4?
Should all be at www.counter-strike.net, but this update has fucked me up as well. The HL update won't install, dammit. Why does it always do this? Everytime I have to install the whole damn thing /again/.
