It appears Gathering of Developers, the now defunct "indie" publisher of a few years back --whose vision was to take the video game industry out of the publisher's hands, and allow the creative people to be in charge of what they produced-- is back. They have an initial lineup of six new, original games, which you can check out at their site.
Gamecock looks to be keeping with GOD Games' very generous, developer-driven credo, by offering devs a contract that I don't think any other publisher does; the developer and Gamecock go into each product sharing the financial risk, however, Gamecock allows the developers to keep the rights to their IP.
By far the two most interesting titles of their initial lineup to me, are Insecticide and Mushroom Men. The first, coming from some former Lucas Arts adventure-game-era people (guys who worked on Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Sam & Max). It even seems to share a very Psychonauts-like art design, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're actually borrowing Double Fine's artist (take a look at the Crackpot official site).

Both of these games are coming to the PC and "an unspecified handheld."
