His ego is enough of a motivator that I think we will see him return, albeit in a reduced capacity. He has already stated (quite often) that he would prefer such an arrangement.

ALSO: The new company name blows. I seriously hope they just go with one or the other (or something entirely different) for branding purposes.

It's probably so that people who already have an XM or Sirius receiver built-in on their car aren't like "Oh, that company doesn't exist anymore"

IDBTN If Sirius didn't sign Howard they would not even be around right now. XM was smoking them at the beginning till Howard showed up. Now they are the dominant partner in the merger. Money well spent imo.

Did anyone catch Mel on Howard this morning? They were wrapping up when I got in the car so I'd be interested in what people asked of him about the merger.

Thats exactly it.

Expect them to eventually drop one of the names once people get used to the single company. Its a common tactic used when "mergers" like this one happen.

Yeah, I only caught the end of that interview as well.

He was on O&A as well, and like everyone else, I only caught the end of it. It seemed to me that he was saying that FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST some Sirius stuff would be offered to XM'ers and vice versa. Bullshit.
