I actually rewatched this movie on the weekend. I may have been wrong here—there is a lot of subtlety to his work I enjoyed. The problem from my perspective is he keeps working with the same actors. While I like them I find them basically being themselves in every role regardless of what's happening (english drinking buddies). Skewed my perception.
It would have been nice to see him work on a big blockbuster Marvel movie like The Avengers.
