what do you mean? do you have to aquire a certain card before you can trade deck recipes or do you mean something else?

Spirit caller as in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Spirit Caller for the DS. If you had that version of YGO, you can send your cards and deck recipes over from that game to this game. Another added bonus is that once you link up with Spirit Caller.you will also unlock some character AI from Spirit Caller into YGO 2007 and you'll get the Red Uniform and Academy Duel Disk.

...hmmm...this is starting to sound less appealing. is this gonna be one of those "walk around and talk to people" ygo games, or just straight up "dueling" kind like eternal duelist soul or 2006? i try to avoid the walk around/rpg style ones. they never seem to be that good. there's usually fewer cards and....more bs.

Straight up dueling. No story mode. Pick an opponent and play. I was just saying that you can link up to an older version of the game and get extra bonuse AI opponents and accessories (or your old cards if you don't wanna re-earn all of them again). It's more like a gift to people that bought the past DS YGOs. The uniforms and duel disks are mainly to dress up your avatar for online play. I think it'll be right up your alley.

This look awesome. And I'm saying this as a hater of card games gone online. The whole thing will turn on the online interface, if random people drop constantly(and the match is nulled) or have non-random rated matches with new accounts, it'll suck online.
If this is really polished, I'm totally in.

Drops = loss for dropper - Confirmed
Low chars cannot give higher chars rating by constantly matching against the same guy to artificially raise his rank. - Confirmed
Random Rated Matches Only. - I think
Easy to manage friends list.
Chat with anyone online, not just friends - Denied, and only with friends before and after matches, no shittalking random people. This makes me sad.
Mute button for those who abuse above. - Friends only chat
Animation off as a default. - Doesn't need it, gameplay is fast offline at least.

Also turns out the JP release includes the English version, w/o censorship. Import yay, out now, $20 more expensive :/ waiting 3-4 days.

Downloadable banlist sounds almost too good to be true. I've always wanted a YGO games to have custom ban lists that you could use in multiplayer, just to fuck around.
