But then again, I don't think there is a single thing about Xbox that is aesthetically pleasing (aside from a few of the actual games!!). The console is ugly, the colours are ugly, the original controller is unspeakably bad, the name is daft...

Even with the name, I think there are a million things that could be done with the letter X which would look nicer.

Oh well. A lot of people do like it. I must not be the target demographic. :p I don't have anything against Xbox. I'll probably get one.... eventually, not enough games appeal to me yet though. :)

Amen to that... you took the words right out of my mouth. And animated or not, I think the Xbox logo is still crappy.

I wouldn't mind the Xbox logo so much if Microsoft had chosen some better colors. The Neon Green is very early 90's, and looks outdated. While the Gamecube and PS2 logos are very futuristic. I like the GameCubes the best though, very original and pleasing. You can tell that people worked on that for quite a while. Its a G, and a Cube at the same time, but neither are really obvious. While the Xbox one is just an X, and thats it.

Ditto. That sound rocks, and watching it tear with that playing is pretty cool. Otherwise, I didn't even realize that it was supposed to be "open" until I saw an animation of going inside it, from the still pics I always thought that there were just some stupid lines someone left in the picture that they never got rid of.

Maybe they should have named the North American of the console the "Sega Sombrero". Hehe. :p

It's one of my favourite consoles of all time, but I never liked the name "Genesis". Mega Drive was soooooooooo much cooler. It's a shame they couldn't use it in all regions.
