That torpid trashy slut was smug and obnoxious. The Christians were far more likeable. I'm an atheist, and this was a lesson for me of how not to come across.

Yeah. I came back on here to say that after watching the whole thing, I thought the Christians actually "won" that debate. I'd much rather watch more of Ray and Kirk than Brian and Kelly. (The obvious joke is left for cruder minds to make.)
I wonder if the street performers/preachers burg and I talked to in Santa Monica were from Way of the Master. The style was similar. The street preaching around here usually consists of one well-dressed man with a loud voice or an amplifier or both.
Im no good at debate. Best two out of three at a Mars Matrix score challenge?
The sad thing is that being obnoxious nowadays seems to be the one tying factor in the two sides....:(Quote:

The Christians were more likable but that doesn't make what they said any less ridiculous. I'm bothered very much to live in a place that is dominated by people who fall for those lines.
Even worse is the kind of treatment this topic gets. The BBC show Atheism: A Rough History of Disbelief is much more gentle (no goth chicks) and reasonable, but it gets shown on PBS (Do Christians watch PBS?) between 10pm and 6am.
