Man, the very first battle sequence in this game is a nightmare. The framerate was in the teens the whole time and would drop even lower than that quite a bit. I'm a couple hours in and haven't encountered any battles that bad again but this game is horribly optimized. Get used to slowdown because you will be seeing a lot of it throughout the various battles.
It's too bad as this game looks nice and is quite fun. I've become lazy these days so I like how easy and streamlined the exploration is. Story seems like typical jrpg trash so that's fine. Don't know how the game is going to turn out but as of right now I'd say this is a $40 game.
Edit: I should mentioned I played this game without doing the installation.
Sweet. Thanks for the impressions man. Sorry to hear it ain't better though. I guess I'll pick it up when it drops in price. I think I saw Infinite Undiscovery at Best Buy the other day for $40, so that dropped pretty quick. Maybe this'll do the same.Quote:

I love FFXII so very much. To think it would have been better if they had let Matsuno finish it. =X
