TNL's Games of the Month 2006
[ As usual, straight ports, retro compilations, and retro XBLA, Virtual Console, and PSN titles are ineligible. Exceptions can be made for ports if they have not otherwise been released domestically. ]
Late this month, due to ; poll will still be open for one month in its entirety. Anyway, yeah, that's pretty much it --and I was really reaching for about half of those. Very light month.
The lull has worked out well for me, to be honest, because I've been really busy over the past month or two anyhow, and all I've managed to play lately has been Guitar Hero II (which, yes, is ineligible, before everyone asks).
I'd probably vote for Super Paper Mario, if I had a Wii.

I'll probably vote Red Star, but I'm going to need to think about it. I'm enjoying Pokemon more than I expected.

The only game on that list I've played is The Red Star. However, considering the other candidates, I would probably still pick The Red Star had I played the other games. Old school, two-player simultaneous shooting, dodging, and melee combat wins over all April contenders.

did not play one of these games this month.

Played most of the games on that list, Paper Mario wins by a longshot. The Red Star is great for what it is, and Pokemon is tried and true, but Paper Mario gets the nod because of the nice combat system, funny dialog and a neat graphics engine.
Pretty much shouldn't make a thread for May's though, because Odin Sphere has got that shit locked.

If fucking Pokemon wins this, we should just shut the site down, because we failed.

I voted Pokemon LOL.
It's the only game on the list I've played. And honestly the only other game on the list I'm interested in is Super Paper Mario... but LOL Wii.
