How much Sysco do you eat?

I recently learned that almost all restaurants serve Sysco food. All the mid level places, and even lot of the expensive places serve pre-packaged Sysco food. It's all bascially frozen pre-prepared, pre-packaged food stuffed with chemicals.

It bugs me that no matter where you go, you bascially are going to get something from this frozen food factory.

Help me find more information?

Any franchise place you go to is going to have this, that's why when I get all gussied up I prefer local restaurants that buy from local farmers, butchers, etc.

I always see SYSCO trucks delivering food to the frat houses at school.

But who the hell says its all frozen food?

I'm ok with fresh meat and produce.

I almost never eat at chains, other than fast food. I wasn't aware of Sysco. I just don't like franchises all that much. Their food is never as good as local places.

You eat worse shit than Sysco at restaurants. If it really bothers you, buy and prepare your own food.

We just got an order to provide material handling equipment (conveyors, robots, etc) and controls to a new Sysco Plant in Florida and Indiana....don't know much about them now, but will know more than I ever wanted during the next 2 years.

Most restaurants get at least something from sysco. We were going to try and switch from one of our other suppliers to Sysco but they couldn't cut it.

It's more that I had no idea that ONE company was so pervasive and I never even heard of them. If anything, I might buy stock in them.

Also, it's completely unrealistic that I could buy and prepare every single meal that I eat. But thanks for the suggestion.

I've installed network cables at their headquarters. They supply more than just food. They sell everything, down to the fork you eat with.
