Ive never played Bushido Blade, but aside from the apparent hilarity factor it looks pretty shitty, and I cant see it being better than any Soul Calibur game.
I loved the concept of Bushido Blade as Tain and I were playing it the other day lol. The game needs to be redone with a parry system that is incredibly intricate, a battle where one hit can be the end could create some pretty tense moments if done with incredible timing, fluid animation, and a deeper system.
Unfortunately none of that exists in Square's Bushido blade.
I loved Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast and played the heck out of it, but as far as I'm concerned, the series ended there on a high note.
I for one cannot wait.
SC3 was a rush job, basicly using the SC2 engine or a slight enhancement of it. bring on SC4.
Bushido Blade was a pretty neat attempt at trying something different. It didn't really work all that well, but it was cool. I'd love to see it remade with a deeper parry system and equally huge (but more detailed and interactive) environments.Quote:

The entire game was rushed for a holiday release, and it shows in nearly every facet. It could have been good, as SC3:AE is actually fun to play but only three locations in America have it. :\

But I played it heavily for about 3-4 months with a bunch of other people that did the same, and all the things you weren't a direct issue for us.
