Big Brain Academy: Wii degree
Haven't really seen much talk about this game around here, I think most people just wrote the game off. But today I picked this up, since I've always wanted to play some of these "brain" games. Most of em have been on the DS(which I don't have), so this was perfect for me to give a try.
My g/f and I, both just got done playing this for a few hours and its really quick to pick up and play. I'm already addicted and I think she is too, hopefully this week/weekend I can get up a big party match(up to 8 people at a time can play). First we both registered our Mii's and did our first tests and got ranked/scored. From there we started trying out the multiplayer games.
Mind sprint is pretty fun and you can customise the various settings. Then its a race to see who can do a string of questions/goals first. You can also record a score and post it to friends and they can try and beat it. The other multi-player game we tried out was the board game styled Brain Quiz. This one you choose a board piece and it randomly gives you a dificulty based on a catagory you choose.
Some other neat note worthy stuff I've discovered on the game.
- the wiimote talks and kinda coaches you. Telling how well your doing, how much longer you got till finish. One game even uses the wiimote as a phone to take food call in orders.
- use mii's to play and enrole yourself and friends into the academy to compete.
- The hallways of the academy are filled with your mii's and mii's for the mii parade.
- Ability to send scores to all friends registered on your wii and compete against each others scores.
- The game will auto adjust difficulty on mii's determined by your score/grade to make matches even on multiplayer.
That's about it for right now, I stayed up too late playing this when I should be in bed sleeping before work. I'll be back later with more impressions. Anyone else plan on getting this or renting it? If so hit me up with your wii code and we can trade grades/scores and stuff. Also how does this compare to the other nintendo brain games, since I've not played them.
