Tim Rogers rips Contra 4 a new one. I can see where he's coming from on a few points, namely the one about the game being so compulsively obsessed with its heritage that it feels like a Contra 1 remake at times, but his review comes off as more of a criticism of Contra's modern (OMFG American!) audience than a critique of its gameplay. I don't give a fuck about Contra canon either, but help box text and a selection of pallette-swapped Contra characters don't detract from my enjoyment of the game.
Tim comes off as more of a snide, Japanese clubbist asshole with each piece he writes.
That dipshit needs to take Japan's dick out of his mouth.
I'll bet Tsubaki would love that review.
